Heel Heel tevreden over L&S Advocaten.
Netjes zaak afgerond. Goede hulp gekregen van begin tot eind. Echt een aanrader 5 sterren
An accident often costs more than you think. These are the losses we claim for you.
Claims firms help injured people too. You notice the difference when your case gets stuck.
The first advice is free. If the other party is liable, their insurer pays the reasonable costs of your lawyer. If liability has not been accepted yet, we look together at legal aid (a 'toevoeging'). You may pay a personal contribution for that; we always discuss this up front.
If someone else caused the accident, usually yes. If you were hit by a car as a cyclist or pedestrian, you have extra protection. After an accident at work, your employer has to prove they did enough to keep you safe. And even if you made a mistake yourself, you often still get part of your damages. Take the check or send us a message: we'll tell you honestly whether your case stands a chance.
First take care of yourself: see your GP or go to A&E, even if your injuries seem minor. Then record as much as you can: photos of the scene and your injuries, the licence plate, witness details and the accident form or police report. Don't sign anything from the other party's insurer before you've had advice, and keep all your receipts.
Mostly on your recovery. A simple case can be settled within a year; with serious injuries we wait until your condition is stable, so future losses are included too. Meanwhile we ask for advance payments.
That's not the end. A denial is often a first position. We review the evidence, request witness statements or camera footage where needed and talk to the insurer again. If that fails, a court can decide. Your lawyer will discuss with you beforehand what that means and what it costs.
After a traffic accident, your claim against the insurer expires 3 years after the accident. In other cases it is usually 5 years. Reporting the claim or holding the other party liable can interrupt that period. So don't wait too long, and have it checked even if it happened a while ago.
Often, yes. Read the second opinion page (in Dutch) or ask us on WhatsApp; we'll check it for you.
Wherever suits you best. You are welcome at our office in Amsterdam Zuidoost, we can do a video call, and in the Amsterdam area we are happy to visit you at home. If you live further away and travelling is difficult, we will find a solution together. When the insurer visits you at home, we are there with you.
Then we can ask the court to decide on the point of dispute, in a fast partial dispute procedure (deelgeschil). Often the mere possibility is enough to get the case moving again.
Yes. You can also call, email or WhatsApp us in English.
We help people throughout the Netherlands. We meet wherever suits you best: at our office, online or at your home. And if the insurer visits you, we are there with you.
